An entrepreneur focused on people and technology.

As a tech entrepreneur, I have helped build software development and AI businesses as an early partner, founder and Head of Marketing & Business Development.

I am passionate about helping start-ups and businesses grow, understand emerging trends and explore new approaches to strategy, digital business and leadership.

Previously, I worked in cross-functional teams at Bayer, TX and Zühlke Group as an agile business analyst, project manager and consultant.

My journey with digital assistants and AI.

From early rule-based applications through voice and conversational design to founding VOICETECHHUB.

2010

A digital healthcare assistant

As a project manager at Bayer, I worked on a rule-based assistant for women’s healthcare. These “click-bots” were an early step, before NLP and deep learning opened up new possibilities.

2011–2013

Researching digital assistants

In 2011, I used Voki and JavaScript to build an early digital assistant for e-commerce. For my master’s thesis at the University of Basel, I studied the quality and usefulness of avatars as digital service agents, as well as trust in online shopping. The results were published in 2013 in Dienstleistungsmanagement und Social Media – one of Switzerland’s early quantitative studies on digital assistants.

2016

Messenger bots and Voice over IP

Messenger bots brought digital assistants further into everyday business. Working in Swisscom’s VoIP department introduced me to the possibilities of automated interactive voice response systems. My focus was on people and customers: conversational design shapes the quality of the experience.

2017

Smart glasses and pick-by-voice

As Head of Marketing and Business Development at Dataphone AG (now ProLogistik Group), I helped shape new products, from ordering apps to scanning and smart-glass solutions. Using multimodal mockups and Nuance speech-to-text / text-to-speech, I explored hands-free, voice-driven ordering in warehouses and retail.

2019

Shoppi and the founding of VOICETECHHUB

After travelling around the world in 2018, I completed my second master’s degree in Computer System Management at ZHAW. Wanting help with my own shopping led to “Shoppi”, a conversational commerce assistant. In 2019, I founded VOICETECHHUB, covering voice assistants, chatbots, voice search, customer-centred AI strategy and leadership, NLP and digital humans. That same year, we created a new course for ZHAW on chatbot development and conversational interfaces.

2019–2022

Growing the chatbot start-up Paixon

As a partner and member of Paixon’s executive board, I was responsible for sales, marketing, business development and partnerships. Together, we grew the business from its founding team to seven full-time positions in two years. As a product owner, agile project manager and certified conversation designer, I helped deliver award-winning voice assistants and chatbots.

Beyond work

I grew up in an international, bilingual environment, including Italian, and have lived in the UK and France. I have also spent extended periods in the US, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan/Asia. Virtual reality, gaming and AI painting have fascinated me since 2016.

At the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, you can try two hybrid physical and digital games I invented and developed with the team at my former company: Scanning Hero and Picking Hero .

As a role model in tech, I want to encourage young people and women entrepreneurs to be bold and make their voices heard. Helping both women and men combine work and family matters to me. After a family break to care for my daughter, born in 2021, I returned to international engagements.

I also contribute to technology-driven NGOs supporting disadvantaged children and to decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs) that foster trusted digital collaboration.
