Why will be voice the next stage with ChatGTP?

This article summarizes interesting facts about voice I encountered during my journey. It started in 2018 with these facts. By then, the voice interfaces were not that mature though!

• 20% of Swiss regularly use voice-based assistants, preferably on Smartphones but intend to buy a smart speaker (Statista 2018/2019)
• Siri, Google Assistant and then Alexa are the most used assistants in Swiss and Austrian households (McSchindler 2019, IAB Austria Integral 2019)
• 60% of Germans use voice assistants, 30% intensively. Google and Amazon are market leaders. (Splendid Research 2019)
• A 40 bn. $ US market is expected for voice-based smart personal assistants (USA Today 2018)
• 21 % of US shoppers already use voicebots (Mastercard 2018)

But how has this changed from 2018 to 2022, and how will it evolve in the future?
